We're Back! And Happy. Mostly...

Well, I suppose since I've started up That OTHER Blog, I might as well revive this one as well. We probably won't have as many posts from Lucky these days (he's pretty engrossed in Skyrim lately), but I can still keep you posted about him!

Um... well, yesterday I expounded, in That OTHER Blog, on our exploits since last we poked our faces into the blog world. Don't have much to add to that at the moment, I suppose. Obviously, we made it through all the weddings, receptions and immigration (a little over 3 years ago now), and have settled pretty happily together in our new house we just purchased together last year.

Lucky's not overly happy with his job at the moment, but is working hard to find new work. Hopefully at the University. It's relatively good job security, good benefits... and we'd be working for the same place.

So he's been putting in application after application just about everywhere he can find. As I stated in That OTHER Blog, he's had a couple of bites recently at the University, but one has already fallen through, and the other one we're still waiting to hear back from... supposedly before the end of the month. Lucky's been kinda down about it lately, so I hope it's good news. *crossing fingers*

The only thing that wouldn't be optimal about him starting work at the University at this time, is that he would still be within his 6-month probationary period in August, when we're planning a trip to London to see his friends and family for the first time since the Commitment Ceremony... oh, and to attend the 2012 Olympics. He wouldn't be able to use any vacation time during his first 6 months, so we may have to find some savings somewhere to cover those 2 weeks. Oh well... we'll figure it out. His happiness and sanity are more important at the moment.

Amway, that's about where we're at for now. I'll have to let him know I've revived the old Blog. He may be mortified that I've written about any of this, and it may disappear tomorrow... lol
